Hi Everyone!

We're excited to announce that the

Andrea Short Memorial Well is being drilled this week!
We hope this will be the first well of many,

please join us in prayer that everything goes smoothly.
Jordan's parents Gary & Louise are in Sudan now,

and will be documenting and taking photos for us.

They said the people are very excited,

all smiles and busy gathering stones,

sand and poles for the project.

The drilling and installation crew will be giving

water health training to the community,
and will give out HIV/Aids awareness brochures while they're there.
Then they'll have a celebration to open the well to the community!

We'll keep you updated as more news & photos come in.

Thank you all for your love & support!

Many people in the developing world, usually women and children, walk more than three hours every day to find water that is likely to make them sick.  Those hours are crucial, preventing many from working or attending school.  Additionally, collecting water puts them at greater risk of sexual harassment and assault.  Children are especially vulnerable to the consequences of unsafe water. Of the 42,000 deaths that occur every week from unsafe water and a lack of basic sanitation, 90% are children under 5 years old.

Sudan is the largest nation in Africa, covering nearly 1 million square miles.  This is comparable to the entire western United States.
