The Sudan Water Project is a division of Hope for the Future and was founded by Jordan and Rishelle Short, who witnessed first-hand the lack of clean water -and the women who travel to find it- during their 6 month stay in East Africa.
Hope for the Future is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. It was founded by Jordan's parents, Gary and Louise Short, who have been doing relief work in Africa for more than thirty years.
Our first well, which was drilled in the village of Leke, was dedicated to Jordan's sister Andrea, who was killed in a traffic accident in 1993. Andrea was a close friend of Rishelle's, and had a heart for the people of Africa. |
